Our Mission
The Dance Unit was created to provide a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for children to study dance. We pride ourselves on working with dancers of all goals and ambitions. The Dance Unit is focused on professionalism, high-quality dance education, and teaching life skills that transcend beyond dance.
Our Name
The Dance Unit
The word unit is defined as “an individual thing or person regarded as single and complete but which can also form an individual component of a larger or more complex whole.” We feel this describes what it means to be a student of dance. It is important for us to acknowledge each individual’s strengths, personality, and identity. It is just as important to train dancers who can work in a team, build a network of relationships, and collectively work towards a shared goal.

The Dance Unit serves clients in the Northeast suburbs of the Twin Cities. We are conveniently located off of 35E or Highway 61 depending on where you are driving from. We have three dance rooms with sprung marley flooring, mirrors, surround sound speaker systems, and fun LED lighting! For parents and caregivers, we have plenty of lobby seating and large viewing windows. We also have a large parking lot with plenty of spaces to make pick-up and drop-off of your dancers easy!
